Hi:

Thanks for the post! I needed apache 2.2 like you /usr/local suits me better. One question I have is..

Do I really need Pound? I thought mod_proxy did the load balancing.. well as you can see i have not tried it before .. i am thinking merely from this post..

rubdabadub,

If you are using Apache 2.2, then you can do without Pound. In my opinion, Apache’s mod_proxy_balancer works great. The only configuration where I used Pound was with Mongrels behind LightTPD.

There’s a typo in the code section under Pound; you left the apt-get command “install” out of the instruction. Thanks for this post!
